Various constituencies within FIP are offering grants and/or fellowships to enable attendance at the congress. Please find an overview below.


FIP Hospital Pharmacy Section (HPS) Basel Statement Research Grant

The FIP Hospital Pharmacy Section (HPS) supports high-quality research that advances hospital pharmacy practice worldwide. This grant aims to promote evidence-based improvements in policy and practice, particularly in alignment with the revised Basel Statements.

Research focus areas

While proposals in any area of hospital pharmacy practice are eligible, preference will be given to projects focusing on:

  • Seamless care
  • Medication safety
  • Interprofessional collaboration

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for a research grant, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • The Principal Investigator (PI) must be a member of the FIP Hospital Pharmacy Section.
  • Grants are awarded to institutions, not individuals.
  • Graduate students may serve as Co-Principal Investigators, but not as PIs.
  • Projects must demonstrate clear relevance to hospital pharmacy practice and policy.

Grant and application details

  • Proposals must be submitted using the official FIP HPS Research Grant Application Form (maximum 10 pages).
  • No overhead costs are permitted.
  • Applicants must include a full financial plan if the project exceeds the requested funding, along with letters of support from other funders when available.
  • Successful applicants will receive 50% of the funds upon award and 50% upon submission of the final report.

IP Health and Medicines Information Section (HaMIS)

Each year the Health and Medicines Information (H&MI) Section supports pharmacy students, pharmacists, and pharmaceutical scientists from low- and middle-income countries to attend the FIP World Pharmacy Congress 2026 in Montreal, Canada.

Grant details

The Travel Grant provides:

  • A contribution of up to €1,000 towards travel and accommodation expenses..
  • Full loverage of the congress registration fee.

Preference will be given to:

  • First-time FIP Congress attendees
  • Applicants whose work aligns with the Health and Medicines Information Section

FIP Industrial Pharmacy Section (IPS)

The FIP Industrial Pharmacy Section promotes the Mike How Travel Award, granted to a young pharmacist or pharmacy student who has shown keen interest and passion for industrial pharmacy. This award is a collaboration between the FIPs Early Career Pharmaceutical Group (ECPG), FIP’s Industrial Pharmacy Section, and the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF). It supports ECPG or IPSF members involved in the development, manufacturing, and regulatory aspects of pharmaceuticals and includes:

  • Up to € 1,500 to support transport, accommodation, and registration for the congress.
  • Free attendance at the Industrial Pharmacy Section pre-satellite workshop at the FIP Congress.
  • An invitation to the Industrial Pharmacy Section dinner.

FIP Academic Pharmacy Section (AcPS)

The FIP Academic Pharmacy Section is pleased to announce its intention, as included in the proposed 2026 budget, to provide travel grants in support of speakers accepted for AcPS-proposed sessions at the FIP World Congress in Montréal 2026. This initiative aims to promote strong representation and active participation from our global membership in sessions organised by the AcPS Section.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for a travel grant, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be an active and current member of the AcPS Section.
  • Be an accepted speaker in a session officially proposed by the AcPS Section for the Montréal 2026 Congress.
  • Not receive speaker support from the main FIP Congress Programming Development Group or any other institution.
  • Provide proof of participation and registration for the Congress.

Grant details

  • The maximum grant amount available per speaker is € 1,000.
    • Requests for funding exceeding this amount will require prior formal approval from the AcPS Executive Committee.
  • It is anticipated that approximately four (4) speakers will be supported under this programme.

Administration

The application, selection, and disbursement processes for the travel grants are managed annually by the AcPS Executive Committee, with oversight and implementation handled through the Finance Subcommittee.

FIP Social & Administrative Pharmacy Section (SAPS) (application deadline closed)

SAPS is delighted to launch the inaugural SAPS Congress Attendance Grant.

This is an opportunity for SAPS members, particularly Early Career Pharmacists and those from low- and middle-income countries to be supported to attend the FIP World Congress.

This year we are pleased to offer the opportunity to receive this grant to SAPS members to aid attendance at the FIP World Congress in Montreal, Canada to be held 30 August to 2 September 2026.

FIP Community Pharmacy Section (CPS) (application deadline closed)

The Community Pharmacy Section, in collaboration with the FIP Foundation, is pleased to announce the Early Career Leadership Development Scholarship.
This joint initiative aims to foster and strengthen leadership skills among young professionals engaged in community pharmacy practice worldwide.

The selected scholar will receive financial support to participate in both the Leadership Development Workshop and the FIP World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences 2026, to be held in Montréal, Canada.

The call for applications will be launched shortly. Applications will be submitted electronically through the FIP Foundation’s website.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for a travel grant, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a community pharmacist, either as an owner or employee;
  • Have graduated within the past eight (8) years from their first degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences;
  • Be a member of both the Early Career Pharmaceutical Group (ECPG) and the FIP Community Pharmacy Section (CPS);
  • Reside and work in a country or territory classified by the World Bank (latest available classification) as low-, lower-middle-, or upper-middle-income;
  • It is not mandatory that applicants be nationals of, or reside in, countries or territories where FIP has member organisations;
  • Applications will be evaluated according to the WHO region of the applicant’s country or territory of residence and professional activity, regardless of nationality.

FIP Foundation Early Career Leadership Development Scholarship (application deadline closed)

The FIP Foundation has partnered with the FIP Early Career Pharmaceutical Group (ECPG) and the FIP Regional Pharmaceutical Forums to award six scholarships. These scholarships are designed to assist young pharmacists or pharmaceutical scientists in attending the congress and participating in the Leadership Development Workshop.

Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants must be pharmacists, pharmacy educators, or pharmaceutical scientists who have graduated within the past eight years with their first degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences.
  • They must live and work or study in a country or territory classified as low, lower-middle, or upper-middle income by the World Bank in the latest available classification. It is not mandatory for applicants to be nationals of, or reside in, countries or territories where FIP has member organisations.
  • Additionally, applicants must not have received financial support or a scholarship from the FIP Foundation previously.

The scholarship includes free registration, reimbursement for travel and accommodation costs, and one year of Individual Membership with FIP.
