For pharmacists, whose roles extend beyond traditional dispensing, this evolution presents an opportunity to lead meaningful change in collaborative care. As scopes of practice expand globally, fostering interprofessional collaboration is essential to achieving sustainable health outcomes. This session draws on the World Health Professions Alliance (WHPA) Interprofessional Collaboration Policy Statement, the FIP Statement of Policy on Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (ICP), and FIP Development Goal 8 in particular, which collectively advocate for integrated care models that transcend borders and professional silos. These frameworks emphasise shared responsibility, mutual respect, and coordinated action to address challenges such as health literacy, continuity of care and equitable access. Despite clear benefits, barriers to effective collaboration persist—ranging from structural limitations to cultural and educational divides. How can we overcome these obstacles and implement practical, evidence-based solutions? Programme:
