Organised by the FIP Hospital Pharmacy Section Chair(s) Dr. Stephen F. Eckel, PharmD, MHA, FFIP, ExCo member, FIP Hospital Pharmacy Section, Basel Statement Promotion Committee, UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, USA & Dr. Michael Stepanovic, PharmD, MS, ExCo member, FIP Hospital Pharmacy Section, Basel Statement Promotion Committee, UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, USA Introduction: This interactive session will focus on the development of globally adaptable accreditation standards and Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) for hospital pharmacy education. This initiative builds upon the FIP Basel Statements, the ongoing development of Foundational Elements for Optimal Medicines Use in Hospital Pharmacy, and prior work identifying gaps in pharmacy education related to hospital practice. Despite advances in pharmacy practice, many graduates remain underprepared for hospital pharmacy roles due to limited integration of hospital-specific competencies within accreditation frameworks. This project aims to bridge this gap by defining practice-ready expectations at the point of graduation, aligned with global workforce needs. The session will introduce the project, present preliminary concepts, and engage participants in structured activities to refine accreditation standards and EPAs through global consensus-building. This session will be organised by the Basel Statement Promotion Committee of the Hospital Pharmacy Section which includes Stephen Eckel, Michael Stepanovic, Jonathan Penm, Rob Moss, Marianne Ivy, Josep M Guiu, and Emmanuel Obiri-Bakai.
